The JETBeam Jet 1 MK is a nice little AA powered flashlight, with max runtime of 100 hour, which is actually very decent for a AA battery flashlight. Using 14500 gives you the claimed 450 lumens, but using one AA NiMH will get you asomewhat around 150 lumens, which is still brighter than the Thrunite Ti3 or similar AA or AAA keychain lights that runs on 1.5v battery. The light comes with pocket clip, tripod mount hole - which is for the self defense attaschment. Not sure how well it will do for self defense, but breaking glass windows should be okay with the "cone" attachments as linked below..!

Size of the JETBeam JET 1 MK is very good, just like my index finger, but a bit chubbier...!

 

Use eneloop pro AA for best result, but it also accepts normal AA cells and even the lithium cells. Well lubed threads, just like all JETBeam lights.

 

There is a spring at the back-end of the tube, but not on the head. I doubt the "attachment" that you can put on the light is for smashing on "people", but rather just for tapping onto class.

 

Pocket clip is sturdy, and the tripod mount actually can be mounted to an attachment and make this your camera light for adventure's filmming..!

Twisty setup, 3 modes, powerful and compact size. Simply said, it's a great EDC if you like more runtime than those AAA powered ones. (AA have more juice!)

 I have tried the light using 14500 after the review is done (scared of burning the led on review making process!) and yes, the 14500 worked better, and still offers you the normal modes, so I would like to use this light with 14500 instead of AA now. More power, more throw, and now I need something to make use of the tripod hole!

The truth is, the JETBeam Jet 1 MK is not going to give you the 450 lumens with a single AA Battery, but rather with the 14500 3.7v li-ion battery instead. However, it's still a nice EDC Flashlight, and with a single AA cell, pumping out 150 lumens at max, is pretty impressive, given how the AAA can only give about 120-130 lumens with the keychain lights like Thrunite Ti3, Olight EOS etc....

First of all, the Thrunite T01 is inexpensive, yet it is not cheap. You can see everything is nicely packaged just like their Thrunite Ti3 (one of my favorite!). The light comes in a nice aluminum/tin container, nicely packed and tightly held together with the cardboard "wrap-around" piece. It's secured and you won't hear a single rattle inside.

 

 

Open it up, the package is just like a perfect gift package, with the light placed perfectly in the right spot, and there is a keychain "chain", 2 spare o-rings, manual, welcome card, and such. The only thing missing is one freebie AAA battery, which I really wish Thrunite can do that to their products, then it will make it superb on top of awesome.  

 

There are two different options for the beam color, cool white and neutral white. The neutral white is awesome!  GET THAT!  The cool white seems bright to the eyes, but neutral white is the thing you want for actual use, because it is so comfortable to the eyes, and it's addictive to look at!  I cannot say more than GET IT today. Sorry, it's too awesome!

 

 

The LED and TIR lens!  They look like a pair of yellow eyes, lol!  I like the diffused beam, very clean looking to me, and a very comfortable beam profile.

 

 

The body is well constructed, and you do not have a pocket clip with the T01, yet you have a keychain thingy included. Well, if you want you can always clip your Ti3's pocket clip on this one if you really need a clip. To me, it's just fine!

 

 

I forgot to mention, the thickness of the "wall" of this tube is pretty decent, which means, it's tough and it is for sure strong enough to withstand any crazy abuse. The Thrunite T01 is really alike with the Ti3, but there IS a difference!

 

 

Some people complained about the Thrunite T01 having a shallow thread cutting?  Not with mine!  All my Tbrunite T01, Ti3, Ti Hi are all good after months of use, and they hold strongly together as new. Never a problem with mine, you can be ensured!

To be honest, Thrunite T01 is not the smallest yet, but it is the 2nd smallest beside this Olight i3e. While the Olight i3e is nice and smaller, the beam from the Thrunite T01 is much brighter and nicer. It's hard to choose, but I will pick the Thrunite T01 over the Olight myself, because I like more lumens in my pocket. LOL! My spouse chose the Olight i3e because she likes something that is not just black or silver in color. Well, personal preference! 

 

The Thrunite T01 vs the Ti Hi / Ti3. The Ti3 or Ti Hi is a tiny bit bigger, and with a clip for your pocket if you care about that. The clip can be snapped onto the T01 if you like.

 

 

After all, I can tell you that the Thrunite T01 is definitely a winner, and a legend in flashlight history. It's an inexpensive light, when on sales - only $6.95!  While it's inexpensive, it's not cheap at all. You can bring this light to compare with any keychain light on the market and call this a winner. It's bright, it's simple and practical. If anything, contact Thrunite and they will take care of you, which is what you cannot get from buying a crap-light from ebay and such. Customer care from a good company is important, because it means they care about your safety and won't design a light that will be potentially dangerous for you and your family! Not only that, you are ensured to have the light WORK when you need it to work. Don't buy crap-light guys, stick to good ethical company with a good reputation! I strongly recommend the Thrunite T01, no matter it's on sales or not. 

Why buy a single mode flashlight such as the Thrunite T01?  I know the Ti3 is fancy and it has all sorts of modes, but the Thrunite T01 is simple, and during a real-life situation when you need a light, you mostly want it to just turn on and light up the place. You will not want to turn the head 3x to get your high mode!  Most of the time, brighter is better, and it's never too bright. Some people say if you are just walking around the house or tents at night, you don't want to disturb everyone, and you want a lower lumen mode?  Well, then you might want to get a Ti3 instead. This T01 is a keychain light that goes to your car keys and such. Just in case of anything, you need a light to help you get out of something or read a map, there goes the light. It's tough, it's simple, and you will not have any issues operating it under any stressful moment.  Try it, you will love single mode AAA lights!  It takes time to really enjoy a single mode light, but eventually you will - when you put it to real use!

BEST Keychain Light for EDC, Period!

 

I used to love my Thrunite Ti3, and I still do, but this Lumintop Tool AAA is just too stunning, I need to make a post about it and tell you guys to get one! First off, it's a mini TACTICAL LIGHT, using just one AAA battery and output to about 120 lumens of light, with a clicky tailcap! The package also comes with a magnetic tailcap too, which is also great for those who likes to stick it around, fridge, car, doors, etc... what we need is just a nice tiny diffuser and I think the light is the best package in the market so far for a keychain light. You can't go wrong, this is really amazing!  The 120 lumens might not seems a lot to you, but I have tested it and it is very legit, and is kind of about the same as my Thrunite Ti3. Here goes the tailcap clicky, you can change modes easily by semi-clicking the button or what I used to call it"bouncing" the button. Three modes only, but very practical and useful. I like how Thrunite has more modes and a strobe, but I think the 3 modes on this lumintop tool AAA is fine and very practical. Actually, less is better sometimes, when we use it for real purposes. Sometimes more modes is just hard to choose and navigate through the cycle.

 

 

You can just easily change the tailcap out with the magnetic tailcap and there goes the sticky instead of clicky. I like both, and I choose the magnetic over the clicky if I am using it for my EDC, because I like things that sticks!  Keep in mind that the magnet is pretty good, you can stick it to your car and use it to help you do repairs and maintenance while it shines down. Good stuff! 

 

Orange peel reflector, very smooth beam, but let me tell ya, this light does have some decent throw power for a keychain light. See my video review at the end, it's amazing and stunning to see an AAA light giving out that much light!

There is also a glow in the dark o-ring there, which is a nice touch and very helpful in the dark when you just need that ring to help you find the light. I personally like this and I would like to have a glow in the dark reflector too, why no one does that? The glow in the dark reflector mod will give the light a warmer tone too, I wish people will start doing that! 

 

Here is my Sanyo AAA. I tried duracell and is sick and tired of it, they just love to self-drain over time. Sanyo and Eneloop PRO is the best. The light comes apart in 3 sections just like a normal tactical light, which is a great idea if you want to train your baby or kid to play with tactical light style lights. Give them a click and one TD16 for daddy, lol!

That's right, you can reverse the clip and clip the light to your cap!  The light is so light weight and small, which does not put any weight on your cap too. You can totally just walk around like this and feel very natural. If you dislike the little metal chain you can just take it off or put the light on the top side of the beak so you don't have this thing hanging down your face. Swcheeet! 

The lumintop tool AAA has been super impressive. The more I use it, the more I like it and feel happy with it. The flashlight has nice power and I like how you can interchange your preference with the tailcap depending on your mood of the day. It's so easy to change your setup, and if you are just tired of using the light as a light, you can always put the bulb part away and screw both ends together with one side clicky and one side sticky, then use the hollow tube in the center for putting a secret note or whatever you like inside and hang it on your neck lol!  I think it's a great pendant tube if you ever need one for whatever reason. Not forget that it sticks and it's slick!  Get one!

I will try to cut it short, but just so you know, this is a light that comes with a super complete package, and it's a great gift idea for yourself, your love one, or even your kids!  The light is very small, or microscopic I should say. Don't be fooled by its size, it's firing out 130 lumens of light!

 

The JETBeam Mini-1 is not like your normal keychain light, it's more like a pendant you can wear around your neck. The package comes with a chain too, but I find that the chain sometimes likes to eat my hair at the back, um...

 

 This is not a trashcan, it's the JETBeam Mini-1 upside down, with the head unscrewed, and there goes the protected and o-ring sealed USB charging port. The idea of putting the USB charging port there is just ingenious. You cannot believe how well everything is designed and put together!  The USB charging port allows you to plug the light to any micro USB port, such as the cable that you use to charge your phone, and it will start charging!

 

A better show of the head and chain, it actually do look good with the chain, maybe it's me who needs to shave my neck's hair and it will work...! 

 

There goes the USB in action, and a red light shows up when charging. The light turns to green when it's done charging. Usually it takes about 30mins to 1hr to fully get it charged up if your battery is really low. Sometimes just plug it in once a while and it will only take about 10-15mins to top up. If this is your EDC and you do use it from time to time, it's always a good idea to charge it once a week at least, just to be safe. If you do use it often, then of course charge it when you get home!

 

You can see the nice threading there, it's a well cut threading, and fits great, no wobble or any play when assembled together. Sturdy!

 

The whole package disassembled!  You get all these things in the box, and also a manual and some o-rings etc. But again, who cares about manual and such. This is what you actually take and use at the end. Good enough!  You can buy spare batteries for this light HERE and they are not expensive, given that they are all rechargeable.  The high mode of 130 lumens will last about 20mins, while the low mode of about 10 or so lumens will last you 6 to 7 hours, that's a full night of runtime!

 

Low mode, very bright to be honest, it doesn't look like 10 lumens to me, but more.

 

 High mode, 130 lumens, and I can compare this to my Thrunite Ti3 which is 120 lumens, and they look very similar to me.  Definitely legit!

As you can see the light is super small compared to my pen there. Great for ladies too!  If you want to see it in action, here are my YouTube reviews. As I said, so far, this is the BEST pendant light package on the market, because it comes with all the things you need and the light is very well built. You can just buy this and give it to your friend or love one, and they can use it right out of the box. The DQG series is nice, but it doesn't come with battery and charger, plus the packaging is cheap as crap. You want this JETBeam Mini-1 to impress people, and give them a full and joyful experience from the beginning to the end. This thing is legit, buy one!!!  I never feel so high about a small light, but this thing is definitely something you want to buy and put it on your neck all the time.



As you can see, for such a small light, outputting that much power is just insane. What's better is that if you are encountering any accidents or blackout, this light's low mode can guide you out the dark space even it will take you 5-6 hours to pull through. Not bad!  I will definitely use this as my EDC...!

Most Powerful Flashlight on Earth

 

You are going to be shocked about this most powerful flashlight on earth, the DQG Hobi, DQG Design. It is legit, and it is the most powerful flashlight I have ever seen in my life. The thing beside it in the picture above is the normal akaline AA battery, which is already kind of small in size, but this DQG Hobi is even more micro than ever. How powerful is this flashlight? The DQG Hobi is equipped with a powerful LED bulb that outputs 120 lumens of light, let me give you an idea, most of our old maglights, even with LED running on 2xAA is only about 60 lumens for the first version of LED 2xAA Maglight I got here. The Smallest and Most Powerful Flashlights You Can't Believe Exist

You will not believe this, but the JETBeam Mini-1 has been the smallest flashlight I have seen so far, and it is a new category in my collection called "micro-lights". It's not weak at all, with a good throw and beamshot that is comparable to my Thrunite Ti3!  It shoots out 130 lumens of crazy bright light, while my Thrunite Ti3 is outputting 120 lumens only!  It's not as good in terms of throw, but it is definitely stunning bright.

The JETBeam Mini-1 is so small, so sexy, and it tcomes in a nice little package with a heart-shaped metal container which makes it perfect for a gift, and of course, converting your girlfriend or wife into your hobby of flashlight collecting!  It was raining like crap last night, and I so wished the power went out, but it didn't! Urgh!

Fenix UC01 Keychain Light Review, Mega-Spill and Ultra-Wide Angle!

The Fenix UC01 is one of the keychain light that looks small, and useless, but will totally shock you about how practical it is when you got the wisdom to use this gadget right. Using this Fenix UC01 is not to shine it around and expect it to be a good "flashlight" that will illuminates the whole room for you. That's not the right way to use it!

To use the Fenix UC01, you need to enjoy the amount of flood and spill. You need to get a piece of masking tape, tape it overt he bulb, and now you got a nice neutral white light that can light up your scene for photo taking or for reading a map or book in the tent or car. It's so floody and so much spill that you can literally see zero hotspot from the beam, which makes it super handy for photo and video purposes.

If you are on a trip and you wear a hat, you can also velcro tape it to your hat and use it as a close up headlamp!  The Fenix UC01 is just amazing for the flood and mild beam. Not stronger the better, and Fenix UC01 proved it right. Sometimes you really want a smaller and weaker light, that does the right job for you.
